# Strikes, selling restrictions and appeals

> How Souqna seller strikes work: what causes a strike, what happens at 3, 4 and 5 strikes, how long strikes count, and how to appeal one.

Souqna uses strikes to keep the marketplace trustworthy. Check yours under **Account standing** in the seller workspace, which shows active strikes, total strikes, pending appeals and whether you can sell.

## What causes a strike

| Reason | When |
| - | - |
| **Lost Dispute** | A buyer's dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour. |
| **Verification Failure** | Your seller application is rejected. |
| **Admin Action** | The Souqna team issues one directly. |

## What strikes do

Only active strikes from the **last 365 days** count.

| Active strikes | Effect |
| - | - |
| 1 to 2 | Warning only. You can keep selling. |
| 3 | **48-hour selling cooldown.** |
| 4 | **Selling suspended.** Your listings are hidden from buyers. |
| 5 or more | **Account banned.** |

While restricted, you can't create, publish or duplicate listings.

## Appeal a strike

**1. Open Account standing**

Find the strike under **Your Strikes**.

**2. Click Appeal**

Explain why the strike is wrong in **Appeal Reason**. Include order numbers and facts.

**3. Submit**

Click **Submit Appeal**. The strike shows **Appealed** while the team reviews it.

If the appeal is approved, the strike is removed and any restriction is recalculated. If it's rejected, the strike becomes active again. You can appeal each strike once.

## Avoid strikes

* Describe items honestly and photograph every flaw.
* Ship on time and pack items securely.
* Answer buyer questions before they bid.
* Make sure your seller application matches your ID exactly.
