# Buy now, bid in auctions and use your cart

> How to buy a Souqna item at its fixed price, place bids and auto-bids in auctions, retract a bid, and combine items from one seller in your cart.

Souqna listings sell in one of three ways: **Buy Now** at a fixed price, **Auction**, or **Auction + Buy Now**, where you can either bid or buy straight away. All prices are in US dollars.

## Buy now

**1. Click Buy Now**

On the listing, click **Buy Now**.

**2. Confirm**

Review the price and click **Confirm Purchase**. The item is reserved for you right away.

**3. Check out**

You go straight to checkout to add your address and choose how to pay. See [Checkout and payment](https://wiki.souqnaleb.com/buyers/checkout.md).

## Bid in an auction

**1. Click Place Bid**

The button shows the minimum you can bid, for example **Place Bid · Minimum \$1,286.72**.

**2. Enter your bid**

Type an amount at or above the minimum and click **Place bid**.

> Bids are binding. If you win, you are expected to complete the purchase. Your bid is the item price only; delivery and service charges are added at checkout.

**How the minimum is set:** the first bid must be at least the starting price. After that, each bid must beat the current price by at least one bid increment. Increments grow with the price, and some sellers set their own. The button always shows the exact minimum.

**Bidding at the Buy Now price:** you can't bid at or above the Buy Now price. Use **Buy Now** instead.

### Auto-bid

Click **Set up Auto-Bid** in the bid window and enter a **Maximum Auto-Bid Amount**. Souqna bids for you, using only as much as needed to keep you in the lead, up to your maximum. Your maximum must be higher than your current bid.

### When the auction ends

| What happens | Result |
| - | - |
| You have the highest bid and any reserve price is met | You win. Go to **Portfolio → Buying** and click **Proceed to Checkout**. |
| The reserve price isn't met, or there are no bids | Nobody wins and the listing expires. |
| Anti-sniping is on and someone bids in the last 5 minutes | The auction is extended by 5 minutes. |
| The seller ends early or accepts a bid | The highest bid, or the bid the seller chose, wins. |

> After winning, complete checkout within **48 hours**. Unpaid auction wins are cancelled automatically.

### Retract a bid

You can retract a bid within **60 minutes** of placing it, unless the auction ends in less than 12 hours. Reasons accepted: you entered the wrong amount, the seller changed the description, or another reason.

## Use your cart

Items with a Buy Now price have an **Add to Cart** button. Your cart groups items by seller, because items from different sellers are bought and delivered separately.

Click **Review N items from** {seller} to check out everything from one seller together. One checkout can hold up to 7 items from the same seller. At checkout you may also see **More from this seller** suggestions.

> Souqna doesn't have a make-an-offer feature, and coupon codes are not available right now.

## Track your bids

Go to **Portfolio → Buying** to see your bids (Active, Outbid, Won, Lost, Retracted) and your orders. The **Needs your attention** list shows what to do next, such as auctions where you've been outbid.
